Uproar in the House over Byrd, Forrest

Two protestors were arrested Thursday at the state Capitol while calling for the removal of a bust of Confederate general, slave trader and KKK founder Nathan Bedford Forrest.

Their arrests came just minutes after a tense exchange between Democratic representatives and Republican House Speaker Glen Casada about the removal of protestors earlier this week from a House subcommittee meeting chaired by Rep. David Byrd, who has been accused of sexual abuse of his teenage high school students.
