A Nashville-based public affairs firm is expanding to Austin.

Poplar Group has added Frank Ward, most recently communications chief at the Texas Education Agency to lead the Texas office, Axios reported. Ward has signed on recently departed Saturday Night Live regular Alex Moffat as a first client, plus a professional tennis event.
