NCN adds to investment in health care payments venture

The team at Nashville Capital Network has added to its investment in a health care payment technology company co-founded by a former Waller partner.

NCN’s Angel Fund II first put money into AxiaMed in May of last year and was joined this time around by lead investor, among others, Health Enterprise Partners, which is based in New York. Combined, the two entities have invested $12.4 million in three-year-old AxiaMed, which is officially headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, and is positioning itself to help providers keep up with the growth in patients’ out-of-pocket share of health care bills.
