PayMaxx veteran back with new payroll venture

Area entrepreneur Farsheed Ferdowsi is returning to the payroll processing sector with a new company whose backers include his brother and local venture capitalists Clayton Associates.

The seeds for Inova Payroll were sown last year when Ferdowsi, who sold PayMaxx to Florida-based CompuPay in the summer of 2005, consulted on the planned launch of another payroll company. Around the turn of the year, he saw the opportunity to get back into the business himself.
