Popular workplace monitoring platforms are sharing workers’ personal data and online activity with big tech companies, according to new research conducted in part by Vanderbilt University.

A research investigation found that monitoring software has a noticeable trend of sharing employees’ online data via methods that are not clearly disclosed and could contradict the platform’s privacy policies.
