Not quite 12 moths after the demolition of the building that housed popular Midtown restaurant South Street, the site sits empty and the status of a replacement building is unclear.

As the Post reported in August 2023 (read here), construction of a new building to replace the ex-South Street structure was set to have begun that fall, with a team assembled to undertake the effort.
