Tennessee names state architect

The Tennessee State Building Commission has voted unanimously to appoint Ann McGauran as state architect.

McGauran (pictured) is the first woman to serve in this capacity since the position was created in 1955, according to a release. She steps into the role previously held by Peter Heimbach, who transferred to the Department of General Services.
