The Boring Company has received a key approval from the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration for its Music City Loop project.

The governor’s office announced Wednesday that the agencies have issued a joint approval of the The Boring Company’s lease application for a state-owned right-of-way and enhanced grading to permit, allowing the company to assume full operation of the airport-to-downtown tunnel project.
