Harwell, Ramsey see no need to loosen gun laws

Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey and Speaker Beth Harwell agree that's there's little need to further loosen regulations on guns in this year's session:

Ramsey says the state has been well-served by requiring gun owners to complete a safety course and submit to a background check before getting a permit to carry a handgun. About 400,000 Tennesseans have received permits since the program began nearly two decades ago, he noted.
