You Should Know: Marten den Haring

Martin den Haring

Marten den Haring is bringing Silicon Valley-esque individualized engagement tools into the health care space. But instead of using data to drive a sale, he wants to use the combined power of behavioral science and machine learning to produce better health outcomes.

A former executive at Cool Springs-based Digital Reasoning Systems, den Haring joined Knoxville-based Lirio in 2019 as chief product officer after a year working with artificial intelligence company Element AI in Montreal. His main objective was to help bring to market a product that uses Lirio’s expertise in behavioral science and artificial intelligence. The team created a commercialization plan to seek out health systems and insurers, offering them a patient engagement tool that would influence consumers to make better decisions surrounding their health.
