As a child, LaunchTN CEO Lindsey Cox never thought she’d be leading one of Tennessee’s biggest hubs for innovation.

Cox grew up in rural Livingston, Tenn., often frequenting Dale Hollow Lake after spending her days carhopping at the local Sonic Drive-In. She then attended Tennessee Tech University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting as well as a Master of Business Administration degree. Cox initially planned to apply for Ph.D. programs to become a college accounting professor, but decided to get a job as a way to make money in the meantime.
