An In-N-Out Burger is planned for Melrose, the latest move as the company prepares to establish its Eastern U.S. headquarters in Franklin.

According to a Metro document, the fast-food chain will take space in a future building to be located at 2711 Eighth Ave. S., with Interstate 440 looming overhead and Berry Hill nearby. The future In-N-Out Burger would be the first to operate within no more than 3.5 miles of downtown Nashville.
