Multiple claims of misconduct have landed a Murfreesboro attorney a six-month suspension.

A petition of discipline, brought by the Board of Professional Responsibility, arose from four complaints lodged against attorney Tony Lawrence Maples relating to the improper handling of client funds. James Vick, a member of the Board's disciplinary counsel, told NashvillePost.com that the suspension was to have taken effect 10 days after the August 25, 2003 state Supreme Court order. A Monday morning call to Maples' office reached a woman who said he was not there and asked to take a message for him.
