The Land Trust for Tennessee, a not-for-profit group that seeks to have large scenic tracts of land permanently protected from development, said Monday that it has received an easement on its largest property yet -- 510 acres in southwestern Williamson County near Leiper's Fork.

Donated by health-care entrepreneur Preston Ingram -- who bought the Sparkman family's Holly Hill house and surrounding property in 1999, -- the easement includes structures nominated to the National Register of Historic Places. The Sparkman family founded the Boston, Tenn. area and gave the land for the Boston Church of Christ.
