Departing Cracker Barrel CEO to get $4.63M severance package

Soon-to-exit Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Chief Executive Officer Julie Masino — who oversaw a disastrous company rebrand that resulted in a roughly $94 million loss in stock value during its initial days — is slated to receive a $4.6 million severance package.

Cracker Barrel officials announced Monday that Masino, CEO since July 2023, will remain in an advisory capacity until Oct. 9. Until then, and according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Masino will receive her existing base salary at an annualized rate of $1.03 million.
