Quantum science advancements in Tennessee could soon see a boost following a memorandum of understanding signed last week by Middle Tennessee State University and Middle Tennessee Electric.

This news comes as Gov. Bill Lee and the Tennessee General Assembly allocated $43 million toward the Tennessee Quantum Initiative in an effort to position the state as a leader in quantum research and technology transforming industries like health care, cybersecurity, finance, logistics, transportation, energy, materials and high-performance computing.
