Nashville-based Matter Health, a health care provider for affordable senior living communities, has announced the appointment of Michael Scarbrough as chief executive officer.

The company said in a release that company founder (and previous CEO) Mason Mercy will continue to serve on the board and transition to the role of president and chief strategy officer, where he will focus on strategy and external growth.
