Legal Notes: Tennessee secures $2.35 million baby formula settlement

Tennessee will receive $2.35 million as a part of a multi-state federal settlement with Abbott Laboratories related to allegations of failed safety standards for baby formula and other products.

Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti announced the settlement last week, which involved 39 other states receiving a total of $384.9 million in recovery funds. Abbott will pay $348,700,868 to the United States and $36,298,172 to participating states for claims involving their Medicaid and WIC programs
