UT chancellor fired after little more than a year

University of Tennessee Chancellor Beverly Davenport was fired Wednesday just over a year into her tenure as the highest-paid leader in the Knoxville campus’ history.

Davenport, who joined UT from the University of Cincinnati in February 2017, will be retained as a professor in the College of Communication and Information.
