Images have been released regarding a downtown-based modernist mixed-use building being eyed for a retrofit that would yield a hotel atop it.

The 1954-constructed building at 333 Union St. is recognized as the former home of ground-floor restaurant Wild Eggs. Documents submitted to Metro show the existing four-story building being proposed for a seven-story addition with approximately 40,000 square feet.
