Hotel project eyed for Gulch remains on hold

Groundbreaking for Hotel Broadway — planned for The Gulch since early 2018 — remains on indefinite hold.

Nashville-based hotelier Rajesh Aggarwal told the Post that COVID-19 has hurt his effort. If constructed, the hotel will rise on a site with addresses of 1212, 1214 and 1218 McGavock St. and overlooking the downtown interstate loop. Across McGavock, Austin-based Endeavor Real Estate Group recently opened the office tower component of Gulch Union. To the immediate north of the Aggarwal site, GBT Realty is building its One22One office tower.
