The Middle Eight project led by Truland Development cleared a final hurdle on Monday night at the Franklin Historic Zoning Commission meeting.

The commission voted 6-2 in favor of construction for The Middle Eight’s third multifamily building in the project and 7-1 for the townhome portion. Two other multifamily buildings were approved in the Oct. 9 meeting along with three two-story homes. Truland is co-owned by Toby McKeehan, otherwise known as Christian music artist TobyMac.
