Full-scale work is underway to update the Madison building last home to a K-Mart with a bowling facility, live music venue and a restaurant — with a mid-February opening eyed.

To be called EastSide Bowl, the business will be located at 1508 Gallatin Pike. Locally based Jamie Rubin and Chark Kinsolving will own and operated the bowling business. Rubin is known for his since-closed Family Wash on the east side, with Kinsolving having founded SoBro-based The Mercy Lounge and co-founded and co-owned the accompanying The High Watt and Cannery Ballroom before selling in 2014.
