Former EC CEO buys Kentucky Sports Radio website

Stuart McWhorter, who left Gov. Bill Lee’s administration in May to pursue work in the private sector, purchased Kentucky Sports Radio from Matt Jones last week for an undisclosed sum.

McWhorter was an initial investor in Shannon Terry’s Nashville-based 247Sports website before its acquisition by CBS in 2015. He also served as CEO of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, a nonprofit organization designed to connect entrepreneurs with critical resources to create, launch and grow businesses, until April 2016 before leaving to become the chairman of venture capital firm Clayton Associates.
