Mayor Freddie O'Connell delivers the 2026 State of Metro address at Nissan Stadium

Mayor Freddie O’Connell is pushing for legislation to increase support for small businesses in Davidson County.

The mayor Aug. 21 announced the legislation to establish a new Legacy Business Program, create a Workforce Advancement Incentive Program and expand Metro’s Property Investment Incentive Program. O’Connell first announced some of the initiatives in his State of Metro address in April.
