TIRRC ICE call center presser

District 30 Nashville Metro Council Member Sandra Sepulveda (center) speaks out against a planned ICE call center alongside other government and community leaders during an Aug. 21, 2026, press conference at Connection United Methodist Church.

Some Metro Council members are working to prevent the opening of a national U.S. Department of Homeland Security enforcement call center in Davidson County.

The $63 million federal contract was awarded to Alaska-based company Koniag Government Services, as reported by the Tennessee Lookout, and is now planned for Donelson (and previously planned for Adams, Tennessee). DHS encompasses the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
