Hundreds Of Southwest Airlines Flights Canceled Since Last Week As Airline Deals With "Operational Emergency"

Southwest Airlines has announced its schedule for summer 2027, calling it the the most robust ever, with an increase in the number of routes servicing Nashville, Austin and San Diego.

According to a release, the airline is scheduled for its most trips ever, a total of 4,498, on peak days between June 3 and Aug. 3 next year across all the airports it services. Specifically, in Nashville, Southwest will offer 220 trips total in summer 2027, up to 20 more departures than were offered in summer 2026.
