Jane Dudley, a founder of the Swan Ball and widow of the late Nashville business executive Guilford Dudley, has sold her Northumberland estate at 2119 Harding Place for $1.5 million to Luke Lewis, chairman and chief executive of Universal Music Nashville. The land and building were most recently appraised at $1.7 million.

Ambassador to Denmark from 1969 until 1971 under President Richard Nixon, Guilford Dudley died in 2002. In addition to a career in insurance, he was well known locally for advancing the annual Iroquois Steeplechase, as well as the Swan Ball. He brought architectural renown to Nashville by commissioning in the late 1950s the construction of the Life & Casualty tower downtown during his tenure as president.
