Slant editor, mastermind of Vandy's Gee death spoof, fired

The Vanderbilt University sophomore responsible for publishing and circulating a bogus copy of The Vanderbilt Hustler purporting that Chancellor Gordon Gee was dead has been fired from the editor’s post at the campus humor publication, the Slant.

Vanderbilt Student Communications Inc., parent company of the school’s student media, voted unanimously to fire David Barzelay as Slant’s editor last Friday.
