Goody's acquires trademarks of Nashville-founded Duck Head

Goody’s Family Clothing Inc. (GDYS) of Knoxville announced today its purchase of Duck Head trademarks from Tropical Sportswear Int’l Corp. (TSIC) of Tampa, Fla.

Duck Head was founded in Nashville just after the Civil War by brothers George and Joe O’Bryan as a men’s apparel wholesaler. After producing nearly five million uniforms for American troops in WWII, Duck Head returned its focus to men’s and boy’s clothing.
