Barnes & Noble wants out of Opry Mills

Book seller Barnes & Noble wants out of its Opry Mills lease along with compensation for the rent it paid just before floodwaters overtook the still-closed mall last May.

The bookseller filed a breach of contract suit in Davidson County Chancery Court Thursday afternoon claiming Opry Mills Mall LP failed to live up to its lease agreement. Barnes & Noble also seeks to recoup a prorated amount of $33,522 in May 2010 rent paid.
