Vanderbilt Adult Hospital names new COO

Vanderbilt University Medical Center leaders have recruited a veteran hospital executive to be the next COO of its adult hospital.

Lee Ann Liska, who has three decades of health care management experience, will start work at VUMC next week. She will fill the spot vacated this spring when Scott McCarver was named COO at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital, which VUMC acquired in August of last year. Liska since last fall has been working as a consultant after leaving her post as CEO of Augusta University Medical Center near Atlanta, where she had been for nearly three years. She also was president and CEO of the University of Cincinnati Medical Center from the spring of 2013 through late 2015.
