Prison management company CoreCivic on Wednesday said it has recently acquired community corrections facilities in Georgia, North Carolina and Colorado for a total of nearly $22 million.

Nashville-based CoreCivic, the former Corrections Corp. of America, in mid-September completed the $8.7 million acquisition of three leased properties in Georgia and another in North Carolina that totaled about 30,000 square feet. Last week, the company wrapped up a $13.2 million deal for Time to Change Inc., a Colorado-based company that provides re-entry services to a county via three facilities that have a total of 422 beds. Depending on the company’s performance, CoreCivic could pay another $9 million in the coming years.
