Urban League names new CEO

Patricia Stokes, former program manager of Meharry Medical College’s Center for Women’s Health Research, has been named president and CEO of the Urban League of Middle Tennessee.

Stokes has 20 years of nonprofit management experience. She oversaw the development of more than a dozen community health and scientific programs and partnerships at Meharry and held multiple leadership positions during a seven-year stint with the American Red Cross in Atlanta.
