World Bass Enterprises CEO and President Brian Bird is bringing the first-ever bass fishing championship to Nashville.

The Champions tournament, which starts Oct. 29, pits the top 25 anglers from each of the professional bass fishing leagues (Major League Fishing and Bassmaster) against each other for the first time. The 50 competitors will fish Old Hickory Lake for a three-day contest with a record-breaking $3.25 million prize purse, including $1.25 million for the winner, up for grabs.
