New data shows that Nashville’s booming tourism industry continues to be a driving force for Tennessee’s economy.

According to a report from the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, the state reported a record $32.5 billion in visitor spending in 2025, representing a 2.7 percent increase from the number of the previous year. Davidson County accounted for $11.6 billion — more than one-third — of that spending, which represents a 3.5 percent increase since the 2024 figure.
