Young Leaders Council announced Wednesday it has named Ellen Peterson as chief executive officer.

Peterson replaces Kim James as leader of the Nashville-based nonprofit, which focuses on strengthening the region’s volunteer leadership base. James was named executive director of the Rotary Club of Nashville in May.
