The Federal Trade Commission and a coalition of 20 states — including Tennessee — are suing Dollar General, alleging the Goodlettsville-based retail company overcharged shoppers via “deceptive pricing practices.”

The FTC announced the lawsuit in a press release Monday, accusing Dollar General of “routinely charging customers more at the register than the prices displayed on shelves, price tags and advertisements.”
