TBA names new GC

The leaders of the Tennessee Bankers Association have chosen Amy Smith Heaslet to be the group’s next general counsel.

Heaslet takes over that post from longtime lead lobbyist Tim Amos, who in April announced he would launch his own legal and government affairs firm. She has been with the TBA since 2009, when she joined the group as associate counsel after working nearly four years as assistant GC for the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, and was most recently deputy counsel.
