Investors to acquire controlling stake in Franklin’s Lineage Bank

An investor group is seeking to acquire a controlling stake in Franklin-based Lineage Financial Network Inc., the holding company for Lineage Bank.

According to financial industry trade publication Bank Slate, Recap Financial Ventures has applied with the Federal Reserve System to become a bank holding company related to a plan to recapitalize the parent of what is billed as Franklin’s only locally chartered community bank. Lineage Bank has about $189 million in assets, Bank Slate reports (read here).
