VU dyslexia center announcement

Vanderbilt University will establish an academy for primary students with dyslexia as well as a research and outreach center focused on the condition. The Roberts Academy and Dyslexia Center, to be located on the university's campus, will accept its first students in fall 2024, the university announced Tuesday.  

The academy and center is funded by Hal and Marjorie Hollis Roberts, Florida residents with no prior connection to Vanderbilt who became interested in the dyslexia when three of their grandchildren were diagnosed with it. It is the third such academy funded by the family and the first research center.
