Printers Alley building once home to Boots Randolph club set for update

A five-story masonry building located with Nashville’s central business district — and in which entertainers such as Chet Atkins, Joyce DeWitt, Roy Orbison and Boots Randolph have performed — is undergoing a major overhaul, with an October completion eyed for floors one and two.

The Nashville-based Higgs family has owned the building since 2008. Built in the late 19^th century, located at 209 Third Ave. N. and long home to a club operated by the late and legendary saxophonist Randolph (a major contributor to the "Nashville Sound"), the building most recently accommodated the operations of event business Events on Third (see the building here courtesy of Google Maps). Its back side addresses Printers Alley.
