Berger Building owner refutes rumblings of potential sale

The owner of downtown’s historic Berger Building says recent random speculation of his desire to sell to the federal government as it constructs the courthouse on an adjacent parcel has no validity.

Darden Copeland, a political strategist and consultant and owner of Calvert Street Group, said he has no intention of selling the property any time soon. The address is 164 Rosa Parks Blvd. and the building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1984.
