Vanderbilt, TNECD alum to lead Cookeville Chamber

Amy New, a longtime assistant at the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, has been named president and CEO of the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, effective May 11.

Most recently, New was director of programs in the government and community affairs office at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was the first-ever assistant commissioner for rural and community development at the Department of Economic and Community Development.
