Nashville SC added a promising young American player Tuesday, signing midfielder Matthew Corcoran through the 2027 Major League Soccer season, with options for 2028 and 2029.

Another potentially more significant signing appears to be in the works as well, as Nashville is reportedly finalizing a deal with Swedish winger Ahmed Qasem. The 21-year-old Qasem posted five goals and four assists in 1,743 minutes of play for Elfsborg IF in the top Swedish League last season.
