Public company buying Intermedix

The owners of Intermedix have agreed to sell the Nashville-based revenue cycle management technology company to a publicly traded peer for $460 million in cash.

Intermedix moved its home office to Music City from Florida in 2015 and last year cemented its presence here by buying analytics firm WPC. Private equity firm Thomas H. Lee Partners, which invested in Intermedix in 2010, will sell the company to Chicago-based R1 RCM in a deal that’s expected to close during the second quarter.
