Tennessee’s population is growing rapidly, but the gas tax revenues that fuel the state's transportation projects are no longer able to keep up.

Lawmakers, university researchers and leaders with the Tennessee Department of Transportation and Tennessee Trucking Association gathered for nonpartisan think tank ThinkTennessee’s annual forum on Sept. 9 to discuss both issues and potential solutions regarding transportation funding in the state.
