Lawmakers past and present gathered at the Tennessee State Capitol on Dec. 16 to pay their respects to former House Majority Leader Gerald Dennis McCormick II, who died on Dec. 11 at the age of 63.

Gerald McCormick

McCormick served as the District 26 state representative, which covers Hamilton County, from 2005 to 2018 when he retired from the legislature. He served as House Majority Leader, from 2011 to 2014.
