Mary Wagner

Gov. Bill Lee on Thursday announced his selection of Judge Mary Wagner to fill the Tennessee Supreme Court vacancy to be left by the planned retirement of Justice Roger Page in August.

Wagner, 39, is a circuit court judge for the 30th Judicial District in Shelby County. She was previously on the Tennessee Republican Party executive committee. On her application for the vacancy, Wagner lists membership in the Federalist Society, a national network of conservative law students and attorneys that, in part, aims to fill the federal and state bench with conservative judges.
