HealthStream workers at Capitol View office, pre-pandemic

Franklin billionaire Willis Johnson-owned WJRJJ Ventures has acquired 1.5 million shares of HealthStream common stock, a transaction valued at approximately $40 million, according to the two Nashville companies.

Specifically, and according to a release issued Sept. 15, HealthStream issued 1,355,932 shares of common stock to WJRJJ for approximately $40 million in cash at a purchase price of $29.50 per share. Relatedly, WJRJJ acquired 144,068 shares of existing HealthStream common stock from Robert A. Frist, Jr., HealthStream chief executive officer, for approximately $4.25 million in cash, also for a purchase price of $29.50 per share.
